Bill Maroadi grew up in the moving industry, he was11 years old when he helped Uncle Tony load and unload his van. Uncle Tony worked for Shanahan Moving and Storage. Bill followed in his uncle’s footsteps and in 1967 followed his dream and started Maroadi Transfer and Storage Inc.

Bill married in 1955 and in 1960 he and his wife Rose started a family. Now, Maroadi Transfer & Storage Inc. is 3 generations strong. We have grown from operations in his basement to fleet of tractor-trailers, straight trucks and 100,000 square feet of warehouse space. Offering our customers one of the largest and honored names in the moving industry as an agent for Mayflower Transit. Moving local, long distance, and internationally.

Being a part of a community also means giving back to the community. Sponsoring local baseball, football, soccer, and basketball organizations, being active in local Chamber of Commerce and participating and sponsoring community events. We also provide seminars for Sr Living Communities, knowing that it can be a very stressful time in their lives and doing our best to make it better. Taking care of the people who take care of your company is very evident, we have employees who have been with us for over 20 years and going strong.

Maroadi Transfer & Storage Inc. is proud to be the primary mover for the UPMC Health Systems and also approved movers for Carnegie Mellon University and the University of Pittsburgh. We have been privileged to move some of the Tri-State Medical Centers and Universities. This has included Hillman Cancer Institute, The Rangos Research Center, The University of Pittsburgh Bio-Medical Science Towers, the new Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh and the University Health Associates in Morgantown, West Virginia.

Bill Maroadi grew up in the moving business helping his uncle load and unload vans. After a tour in the Korean War, Bill returned to work full time in the moving business. In 1967, in the basement of his home, Bill started his own moving company, Maroadi Transfer & Storage, Inc. Today, Bill operates Maroadi Transfer & Storage, Inc. in conjunction with his three children.

Maroadi Transfer, a Mayflower Transit agent since 1981, is recognized as a member of the WBENC and a participant of the AMSA ProMover Program. We have also been the recipients of Mayflower's Circle of Excellence Award.

Maroadi Transfer & Storage, Inc. believes in prompt, personalized service. We are experienced in all phases of the moving business: Medical/Office Equipment, Household Goods, Vehicles, Containerized Storage, Packing, Unpacking, Special Commodities, Displays, Electronics, and International Orders. Our experience permits us to handle any scenario or situation that may arise graciously affording us the opportunity to develop a bond of confidence with our customers from the initial meeting until the last carton is delivered.
